Structure where it counts
The bodice is corseted and the waist sits high, so the line holds through a long day instead of relaxing out of it. Below the waist the skirt is pleated and falls to about mid calf, measuring 97 to 101 cm from the waist depending on the size you take. The cloth is a matte woven cotton with enough body to hold the pleats.
It is cut for warm weather and reads as a sundress rather than an evening piece, so it carries from a lunch through to the evening without a change. The pleating gives the skirt movement while the boned bodice stays put, which is the reason this shape keeps selling.
Finding your size
Our size labels are read from the maker's own centimetre chart rather than copied from the label on the garment. Bust measurements run 80, 84, 88, 92 and 100 cm across the five sizes, which places them at AU 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14. Waist and hip figures for every size are set out in the chart below.
If you sit between two sizes, remember that a corseted bodice gives less than a soft one. Take the larger of the two.
