Structure where it counts

A corseted bodice over a pleated skirt that falls to about mid calf, with the waist set high so the line holds through a long day. The cloth is knitted rather than woven, so it gives where a stiff dress would not. Cut for warm weather, and it carries from a lunch through to the evening without a change.

Synthetic fibre, knitted cloth. The maker publishes no fibre percentage, only that it is synthetic.
Boned corset bodice. It holds the waistline instead of relaxing out of it through the day.
Knitted, not woven. It has some stretch where a woven dress would have none.
Pulls over the head. There is no zip and no button, the maker lists the closure as pullover.
Pleated skirt to mid calf. 97 to 101 cm from the waist, depending on the size. Between two sizes, size up.
Five Australian sizes, one colourway. AU 6 to AU 14, in deep navy blue.

Fabric and care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and line dry. Do not tumble dry. Press the pleats on a low heat only if they need it.
